Dr. Helene Clayton-Jeter started HSLS in 2020 to make a difference in the lives of people through science, technology and advocacy—especially for our most vulnerable populations. Her primary driver is being the voice for the voiceless—bringing their views to the decision-making table with health care leaders and innovators.

Dr. Clayton-Jeter has always been a transformative change agent, unafraid of jumping into a void of an organization, her optometric practices and her community. She brings more than 30 years’ experience in health care systems as a doctor of optometry, medical device industry business liaison, Federal and State health agency regulator, and consumer-patient advocacy director. She is a demonstrated expert in clinical optometry, ophthalmology, regulatory science, health policy, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and health equity. It is this expertise she delivers to clients who are seeking transformational change, solutions to challenging KPIs, or to empower constituents and grow their bottom line.
